We want to ensure that our community of artists has access to high-quality opportunities that support their creative endeavors. Therefore, all profiles and posts are subject to review, and any that violate these guidelines or fail to meet quality standards may be deleted.
Open calls and other opportunities must include:
A clear and concise description of the opportunity: This should include details about the theme, medium, size, and any other relevant requirements for the artwork.
Submission guidelines: Include information about how to apply, such as the deadline, any required materials (e.g. images, statements, resumes), and how to submit.
Eligibility requirements: Specify any requirements for artists to be eligible to apply, such as age, location, or experience.
Selection process: Explain how the selection process will work and who will be involved in selecting the artwork.
Timetable: Clearly outline the timeline for the open call, including the deadline for submissions, the selection process, and any other relevant dates.
Contact information: Provide a way for artists to contact you with questions or inquiries about the open call.
Additionally, we would like to clarify the following points to ensure that our community guidelines are as transparent and fair as possible:
Application and participation fees must be justified and fully explained: We understand that some opportunities may require fees to cover costs such as administration, exhibition space, or materials. However, all fees must be reasonable and clearly explained to applicants.
We do not accept low value opportunities that do not provide clear benefit for artists: Our curators evaluate each opportunity to ensure that it provides tangible benefits for artists and is worth their time and effort. We believe that artists should be fairly compensated for their work and given opportunities to develop their skills and careers. Therefore, we do not accept opportunities that are of low value or do not provide clear benefits to artists.
Opportunities must be specific for artists: We are a platform for artists and want to ensure that our opportunities are relevant and beneficial to them. Therefore, we do not accept opportunities that are aimed at non-artists or have no clear artistic focus.
Priority will be given to funded opportunities and grants that support artists: We believe that artists should be paid for their work and given opportunities to develop their skills and careers. Therefore, we prioritize opportunities that provide funding or support to artists.
We take these community guidelines and quality standards very seriously, and we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that our community remains a safe and supportive space for artists to connect and thrive. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
